Q: Do offer private photography lessons?
A: Yes, most of our courses and workshops are available in a private 1 to 1 or small group setting. Some of our courses and workshops are only available as private lesson. The details about class sizes and private lesson availability is near the bottom of each detailed course page on our website. Of course you may contact us regarding private lessons.
Q: Do I have to cut my wallet size photos from a sheet?
A: No, our wallet photos are die cut at the lab. They are shipped as a sheet to help prevent damage in shipping but you simply pull them apart. If you would like us to pull them apart for you, we will be happy to do so if you add the request comments part of your order.
Q: Will you travel out of the Cincinnati area to photograph my wedding (or other event or job)?
A: Yes, although most of our work is within 150 miles of Cincinnati we will travel anywhere in the United States. In some cases, we will travel out of the United States. Please keep in mind travel expenses may apply.
Q: Do you use digital or film cameras?
A: Most of our work these days is digital but we do use both digital and film cameras. We will use the equipment that will yield the best results based on our experience for each job. If you have a preference for digital or film, let us know when you are booking the job and we will use the one you prefer. Please keep in mind assignments photographed on film may cost more due to the additional expense of the film and processing.
Q: Will Captured Light Photography discount or donate goods and services to my charity?
A: Requests for discounts and donations are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please e-mail your request along with background information about your organization and needs to us and we will reply as soon as possible.
Q: I need my photos fast; will you rush the order for me?
A: Yes, No, Maybe.....In many cases no "rush" is needed to meet a client's deadline as many jobs have short turn-around times. We understand that sometimes you may need your photographs quickley and we will attempt to accomodate your needs but sometimes it simply is not possible. Some products require more time to complete than others. There are many more factors involved in our ability to "rush" an order or assignment. The best way to handle this situation is for you to contact us to discuss the possibility of speeding up the process.
Q: How long after I order will I receive my Photos (Gallery Wrap, Post Cards, etc.)?
A: Most orders take 2 - 4 weeks however, some are delivered quicker and others may take a little longer. Generally speaking photographs, gallery wraps will take 1 - 4 weeks. Wedding albums, Proof Albums, Business Cards, Post Cards, etc. usually take longer while Corporate Head Shots usually take less time. School photos will vary based on the number of students at the school and are usually 3 -6 weeks. Feel free to e-mail us to check the status on your order or for questions regarding delivery times.
Q: Will the word "PROOF" or the image number appear on the photos I order?
A: No, those appear on the images in the web store and some proof CD/DVD's only.
Q: I'm worried about privacy on the web; will everyone be able to see my photos in your web store?
A: If you do not want your photos displayed in our web store, we will not add them to the web store, it really is that simple. If you do have us display your photos in oue webstore we password protect each event/job when it is posted to the web store (unless the client requests that we do not use a password). There is also copy protection in place on the web store to help prevent anyone from making unauthorized / illegal copies.
